Author: Charmel Clough

Charmel Clough is a Kansas City, Missouri transplant who has found home in the City of Fountains. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, and their three children, Adelaide, Roselyn, and Owen. Charmel’s life was profoundly shaped by the loss of her second born daughter, Emilia, who was born asleep at 33 weeks gestation. Through this experience, Charmel discovered a deep purpose in supporting others navigating pregnancy and infant loss. She now dedicates her time and heart to Emilia’s Wings, her family’s charitable nonprofit created in honor of Emilia, offering connection, compassion, and meaningful support to the infant loss community.
Emilia's Wings is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization.

[caption id="attachment_5547" align="alignleft" width="458"] Christmas with The Cloughs[/caption] Wow! What a busy month! My family wrapped up our Holidays by celebrating both Christmas and New Years right here from the safety of our home.  No going out, no celebrating with family and friends.  It was simplistic, just like last year's…

Christmas for the Grieving

I love Christmas! There is something so magical about this time of year! Decorated Christmas trees, traditional holiday music, falling snow, hot chocolate and cookies, stockings hung over the kindled fireplace, sparkling lights decorating rooftops, the pure joy in the eyes of your children, and so much more...  I…

For those who celebrated Thanksgiving this past week, my hopes are that your holiday was wonderful and spent surrounded by those with whom you love the very most! Baby Boy Update

Today, I am 21 weeks and 4 days pregnant! Around the time I had my last routine OB appointment back in early October, I was having a really hard time distinguishing between baby movements and gas bubbles/muscle spasms.  I wasn't sure if I had been feeling baby boy move or…
