Author: Charmel Clough

Charmel Clough is a Kansas City, Missouri transplant who has found home in the City of Fountains. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, and their three children, Adelaide, Roselyn, and Owen. Charmel’s life was profoundly shaped by the loss of her second born daughter, Emilia, who was born asleep at 33 weeks gestation. Through this experience, Charmel discovered a deep purpose in supporting others navigating pregnancy and infant loss. She now dedicates her time and heart to Emilia’s Wings, her family’s charitable nonprofit created in honor of Emilia, offering connection, compassion, and meaningful support to the infant loss community.
Emilia's Wings is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization.

Her First Day Of Kindergarten

Her first day of Kindergarten... a day that will never come.  Today I should be doting on her - in dismay over how little she no longer is, but also so proud of the big girl she is growing up to be.  Today I should be tearing up as…

To the couple who just learned they lost their baby

To the couple who just learned they lost their baby. I see you… I see you making your way, as quickly as you can, out of the doctor’s office and into the elevator - safe from peering eyes. I see you, mom, eyes red and puffy… trying so hard to…
