What losing someone you love feels like…

Scrolling through TikTok I stumbled upon on a video clip that stopped me in my tracks.  I sat for the longest time with it, trying to figure out exactly how to put into words how it made me feel.  The video doesn’t share a single word.  The clip itself is short in length and isn’t anything out of the ordinary.  But by being played in reversed order, it really brought out so many emotions that can best describe some form of my own grief.  Take a watch and let me know what losing someone you love feels like for you.  Can you empathize with it? Or what is your take on the deeper message of the video?

Grief is watching something beautiful come into existence, only to have it ripped away before you’ve had the chance to take it all in.

As the world returns to normal around you, you’re left holding the memory of something extraordinary that seems to have vanished as quickly as it appeared. As though its very existence has been erased, leaving no trace of the beauty that was once there.

Everyone else sees an ordinary sky. But you know what was there. You saw the light. You felt its warmth.

And no matter how completely the darkness returns, you cannot pretend you never saw it.

Losing someone you love feels like watching the light get pulled from the world, the colors collapse into darkness, and the beauty you witnessed unravel backward into nothingness, leaving you to carry the memory of everything it was.
