BLOOM Meeting

October 1 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

In recognition of Pregnancy & Infant Loss Month, our October BLOOM Support Group meeting will be a little different.  We’ll be gathering for a backyard bonfire – a cozy evening to come together, remember our babies, and support one another under the night sky.

Because this gathering will be held at a private residence, this is a private BLOOM event and is not open to the general public.  Attendance is limited to parents who have previously attended a BLOOM Support Group meeting.

Please note: We will not be meeting at North Kansas City Public Library for our October meeting.

If you have not yet attended a BLOOM meeting, we would love to welcome you at one of our regular monthly meetings at the North Kansas City Public Library.  Please see our calendar for upcoming meeting dates and locations.

BLOOM is a support group for parents who have experienced the heartbreaking loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, TFMR, abortion, or infant loss.  We meet once a month in suburban Kansas City, Missouri, and welcome all who carry this kind of grief, whether it was yesterday or decades ago, regardless of circumstance or background.

Our gatherings are peer-led and gently guided, with an open and unstructured flow.  We spend most of our time simply sharing about our babies, our stories, and the different ways grief touches our lives.  Along the way, many important themes naturally come up – such as fear, anger, emptiness, guilt, sadness, depression, differences in how partners grieve, relationship strains, and (when the time feels right) healing and acceptance.
