KC Hope Meeting

Join us for our October Meeting! It’s Pregnancy & Infant Loss Month! We WILL NOT be meeting at Good Shepherd this month, but instead we will meet at our facilitator’s home for a backyard bonfire.  Last month we completed “Letters to Baby”.  Each parent was encouraged to write a letter to their baby.  You can write whatever you wish.  Your letter can be as short or as long as you feel appropriate.  If you were not at our September Meeting, please write your letter and bring it to the October Meeting.  At the bonfire we will burn our letters in the fire, allowing the ashes from our letters to float up towards Heaven to be received by our babies.  Contact facilitator, Charmel, for an address to this month’s meeting location.

KC HOPE is a support group for those who have lost babies through miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss.  We meet once a month in suburban Kansas City, Missouri.  During our gatherings, we devote a portion of time to a topic of interest and spend the remainder of our meeting talking about our babies and discussing our recent experiences with grief.  At KC Hope, our mission is to provide and find support, to make friendships, and to remember and honor our babies in meaningful and dignified ways.
