SUMMARY:BLOOM Meeting
DESCRIPTION:BLOOM is a support group for parents who have experienced the death of a baby during pregnancy or in infancy. \n\nPregnancy and infant loss can take many forms\, and every family’s experience is unique.  BLOOM welcomes parents grieving any loss\, including: \n\n\n\n\nMiscarriage\, including chemical pregnancy and recurrent pregnancy loss\nEctopic or molar pregnancy\nStillbirth\nPregnancy termination for medical reasons (TFMR)\nAbortion-related loss\nLoss of one or more babies in a multiple pregnancy\nNeonatal or infant death\, including NICU loss\nLoss related to prematurity\, congenital conditions\, illness\, or unexpected circumstances\n\nDon’t see your experience listed? This list is not exhaustive\, and you do not need to fit into a specific category to be welcome at BLOOM. We recognize that pregnancy and infant loss can encompass many different experiences\, and we welcome parents who are grieving a loss that falls within this broader community. \n\nGroup gatherings are held on the first Thursday of every month from 7:00–8:30 p.m. at the North Kansas City Public Library in North Kansas City\, Missouri. \nBoth mothers and fathers are welcome to attend\, whether together or individually\, as each person’s journey through grief is their own.  We welcome parents no matter how recently or long ago their loss occurred. \n\nOur gatherings are peer-led in an open\, informal setting.  We spend most of our time simply sharing about our babies\, our stories\, and the different ways grief touches our lives.  Along the way\, conversations may naturally include emotions such as fear\, anger\, guilt\, sadness\, and loneliness\, as well as topics like relationships\, differences in how partners grieve\, and moments – when they come – of healing or acceptance. \n\nWe also create meaningful opportunities for connection and remembrance throughout the year\, including our Mother’s Day Tea\, Backyard Bonfire\, Walk to Remember\, Holiday Candlelight Ceremony\, and a memorial crafting gathering. \n\nPlease email or Facebook message our facilitator\, Charmel Clough\, prior to your first meeting so that we may plan for attendance.

SUMMARY:BLOOM Meeting
DESCRIPTION:In recognition of Pregnancy & Infant Loss Month\, our October BLOOM Support Group meeting will be a little different.  We’ll be gathering for a backyard bonfire – a cozy evening to come together\, remember our babies\, and support one another under the night sky. \n\n\nBecause this gathering will be held at a private residence\, this is a private BLOOM event and is not open to the general public.  Attendance is limited to parents who have previously attended a BLOOM Support Group meeting. \n\n\nPlease note: We will not be meeting at North Kansas City Public Library for our October meeting. \n\n\n\nIf you have not yet attended a BLOOM meeting\, we would love to welcome you at one of our regular monthly meetings at the North Kansas City Public Library.  Please see our calendar for upcoming meeting dates and locations. \n\n\n\n\n\nBLOOM is a support group for parents who have experienced the death of a baby during pregnancy or in infancy. SUMMARY:BLOOM Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Invite your family and join us for our December Meeting! The Holidays are often thought of as joyful times of the year\, but they can be incredibly painful when you are celebrating the season without your baby. This month we will gather for a Holiday Candlelight Ceremony. May you find peace and comfort within the Holidays as you remember your sweet babies! Just a gentle reminder that many family members will be joining us for this event\, so guests of ALL ages (including infants\, rainbow children\, pregnant women\, & other miscellaneous triggers) may be present.  We ask that each family brings a dessert or appetizer to share with everyone who is in attendance.   \n\nBLOOM is a support group for parents who have experienced the death of a baby during pregnancy or in infancy.
